Who is Ravana?

Ravana was the demonic king of the island of Lanka and the main opponent in the Hindu epic Ramayana and its adaptation. In Ramayana, Ravana is described as the eldest son of scholars Vishrava and Rakshasi Kaikeshi. He kidnapped Rama's wife Sita and took her to his kingdom in Lanka, where he captured her as a prisoner in Ashok Vatika, and expressed his desire to marry her. Later, Rama, with the support of Vanara King Sugriva and his army of bakkies, attacked Ravana in Lanka. They killed Ravana and Rama and rescued his beloved wife, Sita.

When the demonic king Ravana was attacked by Lord Rama and was close to his death, Rama asked his brother Lakshmana to go to him and learn something that no one but Brahmin was as erudite as Ravana would never teach him. Rama told his brother, Lakshmana, “Go to Ravana Immediately before he dies and ask him to share whatever information he can get. He may be cruel, but he is a great scholar. ”This time Ravana said that if you come to me as a student you should stay at my feet because teachers should be respected and you want to learn the lessons. Lakshmana went to Ravana and this time stood at his feet. Ravana saw Lakshmana standing at his feet and told him secrets that would make anyone's life a success.

So, Here Are 12 Life Lessons by Ravana to Make Anyone Successful in Life

1. Importance Of Time

Do not forget to complete any good work. On the other hand, keep procrastinating as much as possible. He has supported this doctrine as ‘Shubhasya Shighram’. He told Lakshmana that he could not see Rama and therefore delayed his chances of finding salvation. If you follow this rule, you can save yourself and many others from harm.

2. Never underestimate a person

He said he had made the mistake of looking down on people and monkeys; they thought they were less powerful than demons or asura. And as a result, he lost the battle and eventually lost his life.

3. Never Reveal Your Secrets

Ravana told Lakshmana that he had made a mistake by telling the secrets of his life to his real brother Vibhishan, which eventually turned him back. Ravana has called this his biggest mistake in life.

4. Never Take Care of Your Feelings

Ravana said he had learned these lessons from a traumatic experience. Covetousness comes from sticking to the heart and cooking for it. Put them in their proper place; they are windows of knowledge, not channels of filth.

Ravana also told Lakshmana about politics and royalty-

5. Don't be the enemy of your truck driver, your gate manager, your cook, and your brother, they can hurt you at any time.

6. Don't think that you always win, even if you always win.

7. Always trust the minister, who criticizes you.

8. Never think that your enemy is small or weak, as I thought of Hanuman.

9. Never think that you can surpass the stars, they will bring you what you are destined to do.

10. It can be love or hate for God, but both must be great and powerful.

11. A king who yearns for glory must suppress greed as soon as he raises his head.

12. The king must accept the least opportunity to do good to others, without delay.

After enlightening Lakmana wisely including politics and royalty Ravana gets the last breath. Ravana takes Rama's name and dies. Lakshmana bows to Ravana and returns to Rama.
